Check Sample Program

Animal Science Products’ QA Manager checks the quality of our outbound products in what we call our independent Check Sample Program.  Statistically representative samples of random finished products are selected each month and tested for multiple nutrients.  We compare the original product specifications to the independent lab result to get a picture of the overall accuracy and consistency of our systems.   Variation determined with this method is the sum of all possible sources of variation in the production and analysis system.  It comprises variation that might occur in our plant such as ingredient potency, scale accuracy, conveying losses, mixer uniformity and sampling variation.  It also includes variation attributable to sources outside the plant, specifically finished product analytical variation.  You are encouraged to review our independent Check Sample results in the graphs at the following link.
