Animal Science Products and Vi-COR introduce Celmanax for Poultry
Vi-COR® introduces two novel sources of mannan oligosaccharide, beta glucans and yeast culture in the form of Celmanax® Liquid and Celmanax SCP.
Celmanax Liquid allows producers the flexibility to incorporate these beneficial metabolites directly into liquid feeds or watering system on the farm while Celmanax SCP (Soluble Concentrate Product) is an ultra concentrated form allowing very low inclusion rates in rations or in VTM mixes, or in milk replacers. Celmanax Liquid when added to the watering system in broiler operations has shown improved feed conversion ratio in a study by Gomez et al. In another broiler study, drinking water fortified with Celmanax Liquid improved weight gain, feed efficiency, and modulated the immune system to improve mortality and morbidity in an E. coli challenge study. Similar health benefits have been shown in field studies in receiving beef cattle and in calves. There was a reduction in pulls when the receiving animals were fed Celmanax Liquid. Improvement in performance and health benefits are also seen in calves receiving Celmanax Liquid or Celmanax SCP in their milk replacer by Jalukar et.al.
